UFC Vegas 108: Full Card Breakdown and Predictions
Jul 31, 2025
Overview
We’re back for UFC Vegas 108 with a card full of rising prospects, gritty vets, and some seriously underrated matchmaking. This isn’t a blockbuster lineup, but there’s value to be found across the board, especially if you know what you’re looking for. Here’s the full breakdown.
Austin Bashi vs John Yannis
This is a classic striker vs wrestler matchup. Austin Bashi is going to need to secure takedowns here against a dangerous striker in John Yannis. Bashi’s UFC debut derailed a lot of the hype behind his wrestling, but this is a good bounce-back spot. Yannis will be dangerous on the feet, but Bashi should be able to impose his grappling over three rounds. The -700 price tag is steep, but I still think he gets it done.
Pick: Austin Bashi
Piera Rodriguez vs Ketlen Souza
Ketlen Souza brings grit, forward pressure, and power to the cage. Rodriguez will want to get this fight to the ground, and she’s tough enough to keep this competitive, but Souza is the better striker and does more damage. This is going to be a close one, but I think Souza wins the optics and edges out a greasy decision.
Pick: Ketlen Souza
Felipe Bunes vs Rafael Estevam
Estevam is a dominant grappler with real control and pressure early. He tends to win the first two rounds and slow down in the third. I think we see more of the same here. Bunes has legit jiu-jitsu and is aggressive, but that aggression might actually open up submission windows for Estevam. Still, I think the more likely outcome is Estevam grinding out another decision win.
Pick: Rafael Estevam
Rodolfo Vieira vs Tresean Gore
Vieira is one of the trickiest fighters to back because he’s submission-reliant, but this is a matchup where that might be enough. Gore is powerful and a solid wrestler, but if this hits the ground, Vieira should dominate. His striking is coming along just enough to create that opening. If Rodolfo gets him down once, that might be all he needs.
Pick: Rodolfo Vieira
Rinya Nakamura vs Nathan Fletcher
Rinya is one-dimensional, decent power, solid wrestling, but not much else. Fletcher might not be elite defensively, but he can offensively wrestle, has better jiu-jitsu, and is the more complete striker. He’ll need urgency to stay off the cage, but if he brings the pace, I think he gives Rinya real problems.
Pick: Nathan Fletcher
Nick Klein vs Andre Pulyaev
Both fighters had brutal debuts. Pulyaev’s size (6'4") and striking edge make him a tough out for Klein, who is going to need takedowns to win. The problem is, I don’t see those coming easily. Pulyaev should be able to keep this standing and outpoint Klein, though Klein’s grit means he’s always live. Not confident enough to hammer, but I lean Pulyaev.
Pick: Andre Pulyaev
Danny Silva vs Kevin Vallejos
This is Kevin Vallejos' showcase. He’s a legit blue-chip prospect and will make Silva look like an amateur. Danny is a tough boxer and will bring the fight, but he gets hit a lot and Vallejos will pick him apart. Whether it’s a finish or a dominant decision, Vallejos should cruise here.
Pick: Kevin Vallejos
Neil Magny vs Elizeu Zaleski
Finally, the UFC gives Magny a winnable matchup. Zaleski could land something big, Magny’s taken a lot of damage, but over three rounds, I expect Magny to work him with jabs and clinch control. The 7” reach advantage will show, and Zaleski will have to swing for the fences late. Unless Magny gets caught, I think he wins this comfortably.
Pick: Neil Magny
Karol Rosa vs Nora Cornolle
Cornolle has been cashing tickets for us. Rosa is durable and experienced but doesn’t wrestle with the kind of urgency that would give Nora real problems. In a striking match, Cornolle is cleaner defensively and lands the harder shots. As long as she’s ready for the occasional takedown attempt, she’s a great underdog play.
Pick: Nora Cornolle
Esteban Ribovics vs Elves Brener
This one’s going to be violence. Ribovics was arguably robbed in his last outing, and he’s going to come out swinging. Brener is a classic Chute Boxe dog, which means he’s game in every moment, especially when he doesn’t have to worry about wrestling. Still, I think Esteban has the bigger edge on the feet, and he’ll look to end this quick. I’m picking a Ribovics finish.
Pick: Esteban Ribovics
Chris Duncan vs Mateusz Rebecki
Rebecki is better everywhere. He’s faster, more powerful, and has the cardio to push a consistent pace. Duncan is tough and recovers well, but Rebecki has more tools, whether it’s a knockout or a dominant decision, I think he gets it done. The only path for Duncan is a wild sub, and I just don’t see it.
Pick: Mateusz Rebecki
Tatsuro Taira vs Hyun Sung Park
Taira is the more complete fighter, better grappling, improving striking, and way more experience at this level. Park is stepping in on short notice and will bring the fight, but over five rounds, Taira’s ability to slow things down and control the tempo will show. Unless Park finds a bomb early, this is Taira’s fight.
Pick: Tatsuro Taira
Final Thoughts:
This is a card for the sickos, filled with gritty matchups and wide lines but with real betting angles if you know where to look. We’ve got a few strong underdog looks, some heavy chalk that should roll, and enough violence potential to make this one entertaining from start to finish.
