UFC Nashville: Full Card Breakdown and Predictions

Jul 12, 2025

Overview

We’re heading to the Music City for UFC Nashville, headlined by knockout artist Derrick Lewis and undefeated prospect Tallison Teixeira. This card is packed with volatile matchups, surging prospects, and a few veteran names looking to bounce back. Let’s get into the full breakdown for each fight and who we’re picking.

Fatime Kline vs. Melissa Martinez

Fatime Kline is a massive favorite and for good reason. She’s the far superior grappler in this matchup, and stylistically, it’s tough for Martinez to deal with that. Kline also has a big size advantage and should have no trouble dragging this to the mat. A submission win wouldn’t surprise me.

Pick: Fatime Kline

Mike Davis vs. Mitch Ramirez

Davis is a powerful, well-rounded fighter and should dominate this matchup. Ramirez struggles with takedown defense, and Davis will mix in volume striking with level changes. Don’t be scared off by the loss to Ziam, Davis should cruise to a decision here.

Pick: Mike Davis

Kennedy Nzechukwu vs. Valter Walker

This is going to tempt a lot of people into picking the underdog, but I’m not buying the hype on Walker yet. He’s finished guys like Don’Tale Mayes and Junior Tafa, but Kennedy is a different test. Kennedy’s physicality and striking should shine if he keeps this standing.

Pick: Kennedy Nzechukwu

Lauren Murphy vs. Eduarda Moura

Moura averages over four takedowns per 15 minutes and is clearly trending up. Murphy is tough but aging, and I think Moura just bullies her here with pressure wrestling. The line isn’t playable, but she’s the obvious pick.

Pick: Eduarda Moura

Jake Matthews vs. Chidi Njokuani

Chidi’s size and striking are going to be a huge problem for Matthews. With a 7-inch reach advantage, he should be able to keep Jake on the outside. Unless Matthews lands a takedown early and often, Chidi pieces him up.

Pick: Chidi Njokuani

Chris Curtis vs. Max Griffin

Curtis is dropping a weight class and has faced way better competition. It’ll be a striking match, and while Griffin is tough, Curtis has better output and sharper technique. I don’t think it’s a blowout, but Curtis should edge it.

Pick: Chris Curtis

Junior Tafa vs. Tuko Tokkos

Tafa has holes everywhere, cardio, grappling, fight IQ. Tokkos isn’t great either, but he’s fighting for his UFC job and will come in with a grind-heavy plan. It’s sketchy, but I think Tokkos survives and edges it.

Pick: Tuko Tokkos

Vitor Petrino vs. Austen Lane

Petrino’s stock has tanked, and he’s now moving up to heavyweight. He’s better skill-wise, but Lane is huge and dangerous. Still, I think Petrino wins on technique and movement, but this is closer than the line suggests.

Pick: Vitor Petrino

Nate Landwehr vs. Morgan Charriere

Charriere is the more skilled fighter, but Nate makes fights dirty. He pressures, brawls, and tests your will. I think Charriere starts well, but Nate drags him into chaos and breaks him.

Pick: Nate Landwehr

Calvin Kattar vs. Steve Garcia

Garcia is on a KO streak, but Kattar is extremely durable and has only lost to elite names. I don’t think Garcia can outbox him or wrestle him. Unless Garcia lands something huge early, I see Kattar winning a decision.

Pick: Calvin Kattar

Stephen Thompson vs. Gabriel Bonfim

Bonfim is young, dangerous, and learning from past mistakes. He’s got the ground game edge and enough patience now to pace himself. Wonderboy is still slick, but age and matchup make this a tough ask.

Pick: Gabriel Bonfim

Derrick Lewis vs. Tallison Teixeira

This one will be chaos. Both guys can end the fight at any moment, but I’m leaning Teixeira. He’s undefeated, durable, and might even have a grappling edge. Lewis is always live for a KO, but I think Teixeira stays smart and survives the early storm.

Pick: Tallison Teixeira
